If you’ve been spending any decent amount of time in Grow A Garden 2, you already know the struggle. You plant a tree, it grows, and then three days later you realize your garden layout looks a bit messy. Normally, you're stuck with your choices, but that's where the Basic Pot comes in.

Despite the humble name, this thing is actually an Epic Gear item, and it completely changes how you manage your farm by making your plants permanently movable.

Here is a quick, no-nonsense guide on how to get your hands on one and how it works.

How to Get the Basic Pot
To grab a Basic Pot, you’ll need to make a trip over to George's Gear Shop on the map.

The Cost: It is going to run you 300,000 Shekels. It’s a bit of an investment, but the utility you get out of it is worth the grind.

A Quick Warning: The shop can sometimes be a little finicky. A few players have run into a minor glitch where clicking "purchase" doesn't seem to do anything, or the UI looks a bit bugged. If it eats your input or acts weird, don't panic. Just try clicking it again, or simply rejoin the server and try fresh.

How to Use the Basic Pot
Essentially, the Basic Pot acts like a permanent, portable trellis, giving you total freedom over your garden layout. Instead of your trees being locked to the exact grid spot where they sprouted, you can rearrange things whenever inspiration strikes.

Here is how the mechanics work:

Equip and Place: Grab the Basic Pot from your inventory, hold it, and place it down on your garden plot.

Moving Your Plants: Once it's down, you can interact with the pot to pick up a plant—yes, even giant ones like Coconut trees or Dragon Breath trees—and carry it wherever you want, whenever you want.

The "Fruit Stripping" Catch: There is one major caveat you need to remember. Every single time you move a potted plant, it will completely strip all current fruit off the tree. To avoid wasting your hard work, make sure you thoroughly harvest all your fruits before you pick up the pot to relocate it.

It’s a Permanent Binding: Choose your potted plant wisely. Once a plant goes into a Basic Pot, it is permanently bound to it. You cannot take the plant back out of the pot later on.

Overall, if you're looking to optimize your farm layout or just want a cleaner aesthetic without losing your high-tier trees, saving up for a few Basic Pots is definitely the way to go. Just remember to harvest before you move!
